Christ Lutheran Day School 2023 Staff
Christ Lutheran Day School has created a curriculum that looks at each child’s individual needs and goals to help scaffold him/her to his/her fullest learning potential, and these are the wonderful staff and teachers that strive to meet these goals daily.

Director
Hello! I am Dana Ferraro, the director of Christ Lutheran Day School. I have been blessed to be able to work at CLDS for the last 23 years. I graduated from Concordia University with a BA in Child Development and a Master’s in Education. I have taught in early childhood all of my adult life. I love my job and I love this school! When I am not working/playing at CLDS I am home with my amazing children. I have three boys, John, Joe, and Greg. They are in the 5th and 3rd grades. We love to travel, watch movies, and build with Legos. The beach is our happy place. I am excited to be able to watch what our fabulous teachers and children do every day at CLDS.

Office Administrator
Hi! I am Ainslee Ford, the office administrator at Christ Lutheran Day School. This is my sixth year here. I moved to San Antonio when I was 12 from Lake Jackson, a small town south of Houston. I graduated from MacArthur High School here in San Antonio. After graduating from Mac, I played softball for two years at Temple College. I completed my undergraduate degree at UTSA with a major in biology. I am the mom of two wonderful boys/young men, Brycen (8) and Zayne (17). Zayne plays baseball and Brycen enjoys everything sports-related. They both graduated from CLDS many years ago. Most of my free time is spent taking the boys to their different extracurricular activities. I enjoy hiking, riding bikes, watching baseball, and spending time with my family during my spare time.

Assistant Director
My name is Kelsey Shaw. I am thrilled to be working with your children this year. Throughout my career, I have worked with young children in several different educational settings. For the past ten years, I was a cribs and one’s teacher at University Christian Church in Fort Worth, Texas. I have also previously been a teacher at Texas Tech University’s Child Development Research Center, a nanny, and a mother. I have a bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Texas Tech. I have been employed in early childhood education since obtaining my degree 22 years ago. This is my fourth year at Christ Lutheran; my third year as a toddler teacher. I am married and have an incredible twelve-year-old son named Harper and an amazing six-year-old, Weldon who are both attending San Antonio Christian School. Children are amazing human beings and are constantly awing me with their discoveries. I am looking forward to exploring, creating, and discovering life with your children.

Music & Motor Skills Teacher
Hi! My name is Clarice Ford. I attended Brazosport College and San Antonio College. I have been with Christ Lutheran Day School for over 25 years. I enjoy reading a good novel, biographies, and mysteries. My interests include music, gardening, cooking, writing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I am the proud Gigi to two Christ Lutheran alumni, Zayne and Brycen; and mom to Ainslee, who is the office administrator here at CLDS.

Pre-K Teacher
Hello! My name is Sue Morgan, and I am beyond excited to start my 13th year of teaching at Christ Lutheran Day School. I am privileged to have a job where I get to watch and foster the growth of our youth. I completed my degree in Psychology, with a major emphasis in Elementary Education, at a college in northern Minnesota. It is there where I met my wonderful husband John. We have two adult children, Patrick and Megan, and a son-in-law Paul. It is incredibly rewarding to witness the amazing adults they have become! In many ways, they have now become my role models. When I am not teaching, I love spending my time with family, friends, and my fur babies. I also enjoy gardening, long walks, and traveling.

Hi, I am Arianna Lerette, a Pre-K teacher at Christ Lutheran Day School. I am excited to be in my 6th year at the school, where I have also worked in our 2 and 3-year-old programs. I was born and raised here, in San Antonio, where I completed my A.A.S. in Early Childhood Studies at San Antonio College. My husband and I have a son in second grade, Cole, and a daughter, Jane, who is enrolled in the 3’s program. We also have two cats; Elvira and Cat. I enjoy spending my free time with my family, but also love antiquing and crafting when I need some me time. I am excited for another fun year with your sweet children as we learn and play together.

Hello, I am Anne Guerrero and I am thrilled to be part of the Christ Lutheran Day School Team! My husband Eric and I are so grateful for the preschool that gave both of our daughters, Emerson and Easton, such a great start. I am passionate about Early Childhood learning and love the play-based, child-centered learning environment that Christ Lutheran offers all children. I taught for 12 years in North East Independent School District as a Kindergarten teacher and another two years at CLDS assisting with the Early Kindergarteners and other classes. This is my second year teaching the Early Kinder class at the school. I have degrees in Elementary Education and Art Education with an Early Childhood Teaching Certification and a Specialization in teaching Language Arts.

Hello! My name is Jennifer Davis. This is my second year at Christ Lutheran. I have a B.A. in Multidisciplinary Studies with concentrations in education, history, and sociology from UTSA. I also attended graduate school at UTSA for Education Psychology with a concentration in Behavior Analysis. My husband and I have four children. Two of whom are in college, one who is in high school, and one in middle school. We also have a menagerie of pets! In my spare time, I like to play the cello, knit, and spend time creating in the ceramics studio.

My name is Dallas Tigerina. This is my third year as an assistant teacher at CLDS. I previously worked as an after-care teacher and have 4 years of childcare experience. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M – San Antonio in kinesiology – exercise science. In my free time, I enjoy the company of my friends and family and going to the gym. I am so excited to help teach, motivate, and build relationships with the students here at CLDS!

Hi! I am Sarah Anne Stephens and this is my second year at Christ Lutheran Day School. I graduated from Samford University with a degree in early childhood, elementary and special education with a minor in nutrition and dietetics. After graduating from Samford, I took a year off to do the World Race–during this time, I taught English as a second language, helped with orphan care, and other acts of community service through Christian-based ministry. I am married to my husband, Gary, and we have two children, Benjamin (age 5) and Eleanor (age 2). We also have two cats named Piper and Roo and a dog named Nash! I taught kindergarten here in San Antonio until I had Benjamin. I am looking forward to another fun year with your children!

My name is Gloria Vega and I am excited for the new school year. This is my third year at CLDS. I am a graduate of the Young Women’s Leadership Academy. I currently hold a degree in education and am continuing to advance my education through Texas A&M University with a focus on education. I have been honored to work with non-profits including the YMCA for the past few years, focusing heavily on child development and social and emotional learning. I am excited to lead our classroom with creativity, compassion, and curiosity. I am beyond delighted to continue working with the students and staff of Christ Lutheran Day School.

Hi, my name is Jackzary Rodriguez. This is my second year as an assistant teacher here at CLDS and I’m loving every moment of it. This past spring semester I completed my A.A. in communications at Palo Alto College. I’m currently working towards getting my B.S. degree at Texas State. I am a dog mom of a cute 5-month-old poodle. In my free time, I enjoy being with my family, traveling, going to the gym, and biking. I love nature so I take advantage of being outside whenever I can. I look forward to this school year and learning new things with the children.

Hello! My name is Ashley Bruce, and I am incredibly excited for my third year as a teacher’s assistant here at CLDS! Currently, I’m a student at Northwest Vista College pursuing my Associate’s degree in Early Education. I am very passionate about the positive development of children, especially in their younger years. As for me, I am happily married to my husband and have a son who will turn one this year. We also share 5 fur babies. I love animals, traveling, and all things DISNEY! In my free time, I love making the “Three C’s” candles, cookies, and cakes! I am looking forward to meeting our new families and am excited to share this adventure.

Hi, I’m Annie! I was born and raised in San Antonio and was actually a student at CLDS. I am so excited to be back at what I consider the happiest school on earth! I went to the University of Texas and graduated with two degrees, Deaf Education and Musical Theatre. I then spent two years doing international Christian humanitarian work and I love getting to work with children of all ages. When I am not at CLDS, I also work as the Children’s Worship Coordinator at my church, CBC. I’m pumped to spend this year as Mrs. Stephens’s assistant with our 3’s class, they are such a joy!

I am so happy to join the staff of Christ Lutheran Day School! My name is Sue Hall, and I have been a life-long resident of Alamo Heights and the Oak Park area. I have recently retired from public education, and was a librarian for Woodridge Elementary and also a school in Boerne. My husband and I love to walk every evening, hike trails on the weekend and visit our two grown daughters when we can. We are animal lovers, organic gardeners, and always on the lookout for great food to cook at home. I am looking forward to a great year at CLDS!

My name is Angelica Hernandez. I enjoy hanging out with my family and my boyfriend’s family. During my free time, I love to rest, watch movies, and shop. My favorite superhero is Spiderman and my favorite drink is sweet tea and root beer.

My name is Cristina (Tina) Gonzalez.I have lived in San Antonio for the past 6 years and obtained my bachelor’s degree from UIW in business. I am currently working towards my teaching certification. I have two children, one of which attends school at CLDS. In my free time I enjoy reading, running and cooking. I am so glad to be a part of this amazing school and hope to continue to grow here!
